I am very satisfied with this app. The strategy section was well-written and gave me plenty to think about. I am an average Holdem player with decent experience, yet the app still covered aspects of the game that I had never even considered before. The tools section was also very helpful. In fact I had several leaks in my game because of poor mathematical assumptions, which, fortunately, the odds charts were able to expose. Also, the interface is clean and visually appealing. Ultimately, for $1.99, this app was easily worth the money.
What a waste of money. I could have gotten all of this info online for free. No training, just a bunch of text. What a scam
First of all let me say that I am skeptical of any apps I buy--I have had bad experiences with lazily developed apps that simply copied information from Wikipedia. Fortunately, iHoldemStrategy is nothing like these other apps. The strategy section is engaging and easy to follow, and the strategy topics build on each other instead of acting like a big glossary of info. The best part of the app is the odds charts, however. During live poker games I can discreetly view the charts on my iPhone and use them to make better plays. Ive only been caught doing this once, but thankfully my poker buddies were more impressed than angry! To sum things up, if you have some knowledge of Holdem and are looking to take your game to the next level, buy this app. You wont be disappointed.
This app may not be the most polished or in depth poker strategy guide out there, but its succinct and will improve your game. It really teaches you the mathematics behind poker which may be hard to comprehend for math haters but its made easy thanks to their helpful charts. The language may be a bit hard to understand if youve never played poker before but if youre a regular then you shouldnt have a problem with it. If youre looking to compete in a major poker tournament then youre probably better off buying some books written by professionals. But if youre the kind of person who just likes to play against friends then this app is well worth the $2 price tag; you will earn the money back quickly at your next poker night.
